From Prison to Purpose — Meet JC Almanza
Â
I’m not a therapist. I’m not a hype man.
I’m a man who spent 17 years behind bars, built structure out of chaos, and walked out stronger than I walked in.
Wrong to Strong is more than a brand — it’s a code.
I created it because I know what it’s like to survive trauma, addiction, gang life, and prison.
But I also know what it takes to transform — for real.
I grew up in Chicago, Illinois, surrounded by gang life and violence. By my teens, I was already deep in the streets, chasing validation and chaos.
Prison wasn’t rock bottom — it was the start of my rebuild.
Inside, I created structure. I trained my body, rewired my mind, and reconnected with my faith.
I studied, I prayed, I coached other men, and I found purpose through discipline.
When I walked out, I didn’t leave that blueprint behind — I turned it into a movement.
Today, I Lead Wrong to Strong
I’ve worked with:
-
Arizona prisons, reentry programs, and rehab centers
-
The Boys & Girls Club and juvenile facilities
-
Law enforcement, mental health orgs, and refugee programs
-
Schools, churches, and national platforms
I teach the USP Max program — a 6-module course built inside the system to help people break survival habits and build a real future.
I coach one-on-one, speak on stages, and give the truth raw — just like I lived it.
