Before the streets, before the prison gates —
JC’s first prison was inside his own home.
He grew up in a house ruled by fear, where pain wasn’t random — it was routine. As a child, he was locked in dark rooms, beaten, and drowned as punishment. There were no toys. No cartoons. No comfort. Only control. He didn’t just witness abuse — he watched his sisters suffer, and he saw the life drain out of his mother’s eyes day by day.
That fear became a seed — one that would grow into rage, then silence, then survival. JC didn’t become hard in prison. He was already hardened by childhood. But those early years taught him what it means to be voiceless… and what it takes to reclaim your voice.
That’s why he stands now — not just for inmates, but for the scared, the broken, and the ones who grew up thinking pain was normal.
