There’s Still Hope.

Wrong to Strong Youth shows them how to walk a different path — one built on discipline, faith, and real mentorship.
We don’t talk at them. We walk with them.

Community Strength in Action

On July 14th, Wrong to Strong teamed up with NDO Champ at Tangible Fitness for a powerful family event — showcasing strength, discipline, and community. From bench-offs to sit-up contests, we brought the message: strong bodies build strong lives.

Proceeds supported youth programming through Wrong to Strong.

At the Bench Off Exhibition, we didn’t just lift weights — we lifted lives.

Together with our partners and community, we collected over 200 pairs of shoes for kids in need.

This is what it looks like when purpose meets power.

JC’s story broke through to our boys like no one else. He didn’t just speak — he stayed, listened, and led. Over 70% of our campers had a spiritual transformation that week, and a big part of that was because of him.

- From a Program Director (City Change, Inc.

I never had a man tell me I could be something. JC said I’m worth more than the streets. I still got his words in my head.

— 16-year-old youth, Ohio Camp

My son was in juvenile detention. After getting JC’s letters and workbook, he started working out, journaling, and even apologized to our family. It gave him something to believe in.

— Anonymous Parent, Arizona

We’ve had a lot of speakers, but JC brings something different. He connects. He’s been there. And the kids can feel that.

— Youth Officer, Pima County Juvenile Facility

JC didn’t just motivate our teens — he changed how they see themselves. Several of them came up afterward saying, ‘If he could make it out, maybe I can too.’ That’s impact.

— Pastor Luis Ramirez, Youth Director, Phoenix, AZ

The first letter I ever got that made sense was from JC. He wrote like he knew what I was going through. I used his journal to stay out of fights and focus. He gave me a plan when I had nothing.

— 17-year-old youth, Florence Juvenile Detention

This was me — before the prison cells, before the gangs, before the pain.

I was just a kid who needed guidance, discipline, and someone to believe in me. I didn’t get that growing up.

That’s why I created Wrong to Strong Youth. Because I know what it’s like to grow up without structure, without answers, and without hope.

And I know what it’s like to fight your way back.

Every workbook I send, every kid I talk to, every letter I write — I do it for this kid right here.

And for every kid out there still searching for a way out.
